I have some super cute girls first birthday party ideas to share with you guys! Because believe it or not our little Hailee bug turned one this month. Que all the tears.
Yes I’m still in denial that my baby girl is already one. But I had so much fun planning her party and feeding my creative side will all her girls first birthday party decorations.
We we’re blessed with a beautiful summer day and it was a great time with family and friends.

Girls First Birthday Party Theme
For Hailee’s first birthday party theme I just kept it simple and pretty with shades of pink and purple with some greenery and flowers.
I didn’t go overboard (although I’m told otherwise 😂). I kept to just a few manageable girls first birthday diy decorations and got a lot of pretty girls first birthday decor from Etsy that I’ll share with you below.
Girls First Birthday Highchair
I’m sure you’ve seen those Pinterest perfect girls first birthday pictures of the birthday girl in that cute white wooden high chair?
No? Well I had. And I just couldn’t help myself from creating that look.
I found an old wooden high chair on Facebook marketplace that was near by. I sanded it and painted it white and it turned out beautiful!
Before
It took me so long to sand this thing. Like a few days.
But the results were so worth the effort. Don’t you think?
After
I honestly could not be happier with how the highchair turned out.
Then the first birthday highchair banner for girls really set it off and pulled the whole look together.
Girls First Birthday Cake Table Decor
Get The Look:
Balloon Garland
I ordered a custom balloon garland kit here.
In the personalization notes I asked for: 46 (for all large balloons and a few medium size), 108 (medium size only), 1 (for medium and small balloons), 3 (for medium and small balloons)
The flowers and eucalyptus don’t come with it but you can find the flowers here and eucalyptus here.
Backdrop
For the cake table backdrop I used this white curtain.
Then I used white twine, safety pins, mauve ribbon, and mini white clothes pins to put up Hailee’s monthly baby photo display.
Cake
I didn’t have enough time to finish food and decorations the way I wanted to, let alone even try to make a cake myself this year.
When my mom got ahold of me and told me my cousins wife started a bakery business on Facebook I just knew I needed her to make Hailee’s first birthday cake.
The cake turned out perfect and I couldn’t be happier!

Girls First Birthday Table Centerpieces
Get The Look:
For the centerpieces I started with a small tin bucket and tied a mauve ribbon around them.
Then I filled them with fake flower bouquets I got from Michaels.
Next I cut out gold glitter paper the same size of each photo and glued a wooden stick between the paper and the photo and stuck that into the flower bouquets.
These were super simple first birthday centerpieces for girls and so easy to put together.
Girls First Birthday Party Food
The food is the best part of any first birthday party right?
We had cheeseburgers because it was perfect grilling weather. I put out a veggie platter with ranch dip, fruit salad, bread with spinach dip, turkey pin wheels, and chips with french onion dip.
I also made a seafood salad, dorito’s taco salad, and an Italian pasta salad.
While it may have been a lot of work to make all that food, it was so nice to have left overs for the next couple days and not have to cook.
As good as it was, next birthday party though, probably going to hire a caterer 😂
