Easter Scavenger Hunt For Kids Tips
Tip #1 How to Set Up the Hunt
So maybe it’s just me but whenever I do a scavenger hunt I have trouble when I go to hide the clues. I read the scavenger hunt clues and think I hide them in the spot the clue is talking about, but that’s not right.
The first clue is not hidden, you hand it to the kids to begin the hunt.
Then, each clue leads to a new location, but the clue itself is hidden in the previous location.
For example, if a clue talks about shoes, the next clue should be hidden in a shoe). Not the clue that is talking about the shoes.
Tip #2 Use Color-Coded Clues for Multiple Kids
If you have more than one kiddo playing this Easter scavenger hunt for kids you can have them work together or assign each child a different color egg for their clues.
This would mean printing out a copy of the Easter scavenger hunt printable for each kid and hiding each set of clue in a different set of colored eggs.
Tip #3 Add Physical Activities Between Clues
If you want to make the hunt more active, have kids complete a fun action before reading the next clue. Ideas include “Hop like a bunny three times” or “Flap like a chick before opening the clue.”
Tip #4 Include Easter-Themed Surprises Along the Way
Hide small prizes with some of the clues to keep kids excited, like mini chocolate eggs, stickers, or tiny Easter toys.
Tip #5 Use Baskets to Collect Clues
Give each child a small basket to collect their clues and any treats they find along the way.
Tip #6 Make the Final Prize Worth the Hunt
The best Easter scavenger hunts for kids lead to a special Easter surprise! This could be an Easter basket, a stuffed bunny, or a fun Easter craft kit. Whatever you think your little ones would like.
